Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy explains how candidates, recruiters, employers, and other users may use Career Agent safely, lawfully, and responsibly.

This Policy forms part of the Career Agent Terms of Service. Organisations using Career Agent to recruit or hire must also comply with the Organisation Policy.

2. Permitted Use

Career Agent may be used for legitimate career, recruitment, and professional development purposes, including:

  • searching and applying for genuine opportunities;
  • creating, reviewing, tailoring, and improving CVs and application documents;
  • receiving job matches, career insights, assessments, and recommendations;
  • managing applications, interviews, and recruitment processes;
  • advertising genuine jobs and reviewing candidates for lawful hiring purposes;
  • communicating professionally with candidates, recruiters, and employers.

3. User Information and Content

Information submitted through Career Agent must be accurate, lawful, and not misleading.

Users must not:

  • provide false qualifications, work experience, identities, or supporting documents;
  • impersonate another person, employer, recruiter, or organisation;
  • upload content that infringes another person's privacy, confidentiality, or intellectual property rights;
  • submit harmful, defamatory, threatening, discriminatory, or unlawful content;
  • use AI-generated content without reviewing it for accuracy before submission.

Users remain responsible for the accuracy and legality of all content submitted through their accounts.

4. Prohibited Activities

You may not use Career Agent to:

  • commit fraud, identity theft, phishing, scams, or other unlawful activities;
  • post fake jobs, misleading opportunities, or unlawful recruitment offers;
  • harass, threaten, exploit, deceive, or unlawfully discriminate against another person;
  • request unlawful payments or fees from candidates;
  • access another user's account or information without permission;
  • collect, scrape, copy, download, sell, or distribute platform or candidate data without written authorisation;
  • send spam, unsolicited promotions, or unrelated marketing communications;
  • introduce malware, harmful code, automated bots, or tools that interfere with the Services;
  • reverse engineer, copy, resell, or bypass the security, subscription limits, or access controls of the Services;
  • use Career Agent in any way that violates applicable law or the rights of another person.

5. Recruiter and Employer Conduct

Recruiters and employers must use Career Agent only for legitimate and lawful recruitment purposes.

They must:

  • publish only genuine and accurate opportunities;
  • treat candidates professionally and without unlawful discrimination;
  • protect candidate information and use it only for relevant recruitment activities;
  • comply with employment, labour, privacy, immigration, and other applicable laws;
  • review AI-generated scores, rankings, and recommendations before making decisions.

6. Automated Applications and AI Tools

Career Agent may assist users by generating documents, matching opportunities, scoring applications, or submitting authorised applications.

Users must review their information, preferences, and generated documents before relying on these features. AI outputs may contain errors and must not be used to mislead employers or make unlawful decisions.

Career Agent does not guarantee employment, candidate suitability, interview invitations, application success, or the accuracy of every AI-generated output.

7. Account Security

Users must protect their login details, maintain accurate account information, and promptly report suspected unauthorised access.

Accounts may not be sold, transferred, shared with unauthorised persons, or used to avoid restrictions placed on another account.

Users are responsible for activities performed through their accounts unless they promptly report unauthorised use.

8. Enforcement

Career Agent may investigate suspected violations and take reasonable action to protect users, the platform, and third parties.

Depending on the circumstances, we may:

  • remove or restrict content;
  • issue a warning;
  • limit access to certain features;
  • temporarily suspend or permanently terminate an account;
  • preserve relevant records;
  • report suspected unlawful activity to affected parties, regulators, or law-enforcement authorities where appropriate.

Serious violations may result in immediate suspension or termination without prior notice.

9. Reporting Violations

Suspected fraud, fake jobs, data misuse, harassment, unlawful recruitment, or other violations may be reported to:

Reports should include relevant details, dates, account information, screenshots, or other available evidence.

10. Changes to This Policy

Career Agent may update this Policy to reflect changes to the Services, legal requirements, security risks, or platform practices.

Material changes may be communicated through the application, website, or email. Continued use of Career Agent after an updated Policy becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy, to the extent permitted by law.
